Don't wait to call. Don't bother researching competitors. There's no one like them in town. Trust me, I did the research. I have the spreadsheets to prove it.

From the beginning of this part of our life's journey we promised our Dad that he could stay in his home. We are certain that we couldn't have done it without the love, support and skills of the team at MCM.

In less than 24 hours, despite the home health care aides shortage due to Covid, we had 24 hour care in place for him.

We're family-owned, family-operated. Twenty-two years. We hand-match every caregiver. Don't let one bad agency ruin it for you.

How It Works

  1. Step 1

    Get Clarity

A free 20-minute call, same day. We listen first. Then we tell you what we'd actually do if it were our mom or dad. If home care isn't the right answer for your family, we'll say so.

    Get Clarity
  2. Step 2

    Get Confidence

A free, private in-home assessment by an MCM registered nurse, included with your care plan initiation before care begins. She builds a customized Foundations of Wellness plan of care, designed around how your mom or dad actually wants to live at home, not just the tasks they need help with.

    Get Confidence
  3. Step 3

    Get Started

Your caregivers are hand-matched to your needs, backed by an RN and a care coordination team. Care starts within days, sometimes the same night. Andrea Kohn, MCM's founder and a geriatric psychiatry NP, leads the RNs who build and update every care plan.

Why MCM Is Different

Why MCM Is Different.

MCM is independently owned by Andrea and Steve Kohn. Andrea is a nurse practitioner specializing in geriatric psychiatry, which is why every MCM care plan is built by someone who's spent decades on the hard parts of aging: dementia, behavioral changes, and the questions families don't know who to ask.

That's the difference between just a staffing agency and a private home care partner.

FAQs

Everything families
ask us first.

How quickly can you start?+

First shift typically within 24-72 hours of agreement to care. Same-day for crisis situations.

What does it cost?+

Custom care plans based on hourly or daily rates. Average client invoice ~$4,200 biweekly. 4-hour minimum per shift. No commitment beyond month-to-month.

Do you accept long-term care insurance?+

Yes — we work with major LTC insurance carriers and bill directly when possible.

Are caregivers screened and insured?+

Every caregiver is W-2 employed, fully insured, bonded, background-checked, and supervised by our NP team.

What's the difference between you and a typical agency?+

We send the same 2-3 hand-matched caregivers, year after year, supervised by a Nurse Practitioner. Most agencies rotate strangers and have no clinical oversight.

Do you serve outside Montgomery County?+

No — we're hyper-local to MoCo (Bethesda, Potomac, Chevy Chase, Rockville, Silver Spring). It's how we keep response times same-day.
